What web browsers are compatible with Weblyses CMS?
Our CMS is compatible will all major browsers including Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera and Firefox. If you have experienced any problems with any other browsers we will be happy to modify the CMS to facilitate those browsers.
Is Weblyses CMS secure?
Yes. Our CMS as well as our other core products are secure. All our products are password protected, and for added security we include SSL.
Can we install any of your software on our own server?
No. All products that require a server such as our CMS and Forum are only available as a hosted service. This means that all websites that use our software must reside on our servers so that we can make sure that all the websites are secure and can be easily updated.
What is a Content Management System?
A content management system (often referred to as a CMS) is a server-based software package that enables users to manage, update and maintain their website without the need for any specific technical knowledge.
Is content completely independent of page layout?
Yes. Content and presentation are kept completely separate within the system. This ensures that whenever you change the design of your website, your content will not be affected.
Is it possible to ensure that two or more users do not edit the same content at the same time?
Maintaining data integrity is essential. File locking prevents users editing the same page simultaneously.
Does the CMS support repurposing of content as printer-friendly and text only pages?
Yes. By default, the CMS can repurpose content in a number of formats, including printer-friendly and text-only pages.
Does Weblyses CMS support a staging or test environment?
Yes. Our CMS includes a staging area (as an optional module) allowing content to be published to test the website before going live.
Can your CMS be used by people with no previous experience of puting together a website?
The user interface employed by us is designed to be as intuitive and simple to use as possible. Non-technical users are able to add and edit content without any technical knowledge.
